Role Description The General Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, programs, and strategic initiatives at YFDP-Pakistan. This role includes coordinating research projects, training programs, and advocacy efforts, while ensuring that activities align with the organization’s mission and goals. The General Manager will manage budgets, monitor program performance, prepare reports, and support fundraising and partnership development. The role also involves supervising and mentoring team members, fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and maintaining efficient communication across the organization. The General Manager will work closely with leadership to develop and implement long-term plans that strengthen the impact and sustainability of YFDP-Pakistan.
Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit or social impact management, with skills in program coordination, operations oversight, and strategic planning.
- Background in agriculture, rural development, education, or a related field, with an understanding of youth-focused initiatives and community engagement.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, including budgeting, documentation, reporting, and time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder communication, proposal writing, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, make informed decisions, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and partners.
- Proficiency with digital tools for remote work (e.g., office productivity software, online collaboration platforms, project management tools).
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in management, social sciences, agriculture, education, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience with policy advocacy, research projects, or training program delivery is an asset.
