Role Description This part-time remote role for a Cluster General Manager – Hotels is responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of multiple properties within a defined cluster. The role involves setting performance targets, monitoring key metrics such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and guest satisfaction scores, and implementing action plans to achieve cluster goals. The Cluster General Manager collaborates with property-level leadership to ensure brand standards, service quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements are consistently met. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial reports, guiding revenue management strategies, coordinating cross-property marketing initiatives, and supporting talent development and retention across the cluster. The role also requires regular virtual meetings with stakeholders, preparing performance reports, and driving continuous improvement in guest experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in hotel or hospitality management, ideally overseeing multiple properties or a regional/cluster portfolio.
  • Strong skills in operations management, with the ability to optimize processes, manage budgets, and improve key performance metrics.
  • Solid understanding of revenue management and distribution, including pricing strategies, channel management, and demand forecasting.
  • Competence in financial analysis and reporting, including interpreting P&L statements, managing costs, and supporting profitability goals.
  • Effective leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching and supporting diverse, distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities, including working closely with owners, partners, and internal teams.
  • Comfort using digital tools and hotel technology platforms (PMS, CRS, RMS, CRM, and collaboration tools) in a remote work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Relevant education in hospitality management, business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience is also valued.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones as needed and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory leadership practices.
