General Manager

Role Description The General Manager will oversee daily operations, strategic planning, and organizational development for Nova Games Foundation. This part-time hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a combination of on-site work and flexible work-from-home arrangements. Key responsibilities include managing programs and grants, coordinating with partner universities, and maintaining relationships with creators, mentors, and stakeholders. The General Manager will handle budgeting, reporting, and compliance, while optimizing processes and resources to ensure programs run efficiently. The role also involves supporting fundraising and partnerships, guiding internal teams or contractors, and helping shape long-term initiatives that advance the foundation’s mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in general management or nonprofit administration, including operations oversight, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Background in program or project management, with skills in organizing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering outcomes.
• Strong relationship-building and communication abilities to collaborate with universities, creative professionals, and donors.
• Interest in video games, arts, or creative industries, with an understanding of their cultural and societal impact.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and manage time and priorities in a part-time role.
• Bachelor’s degree in management, business, arts administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in fundraising, grant management, or philanthropic initiatives is beneficial.
