We are now looking for a Physical Security Specialist to strengthen and mature our global physical security framework across international sites.

The role & your impact

As Physical Security Specialist, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining Novonesis’ global physical security standards, systems, and operating procedures. You will support global harmonization of security practices, contribute to preparedness and contingency planning, and ensure alignment with corporate governance, risk requirements, and evolving regulatory frameworks.

Working closely with Facility Services, Risk Management, IT, OT Security, QA, and site operations, you will contribute directly to organizational resilience through proactive risk management and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Your main responsibilities

Physical Security Operations & Governance

• Develop, update, and implement Physical Security SOPs across global sites
• Support global harmonization of physical security practices, standards, and governance
• Coordinate and support alignment of physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and perimeter solutions

Security Projects

• Execute and support physical security projects such as technology upgrades, system integrations, and harmonization initiatives
• Provide specialist input and guidance to project teams interfacing with physical security systems
  

Risk & Preparedness

• Contribute to Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Incident Response Plans (IRP) from a physical security risk perspective
• Conduct or support security risk assessments, threat evaluations, and vulnerability analyses, including alignment with NIS2 and CER requirements
• Support preparedness and contingency planning for security‑related threats such as intrusion, sabotage, insider threat, and violent incidents
  

Additional contributions

• Stay updated on emerging security regulations, threat assessments, and national security advisories
• Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives where physical security expertise is required
• Support stakeholder alignment across sites during “becoming one” harmonization
• Participate in risk management scenario exercises and crisis committee table‑top sessions
• Support audits, assessments, incident reviews and remediation plans by providing specialist input
  

What you’ll need to be successful

Qualifications & experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Emergency & Risk Management, Security Risk Management, or a related field
• Experience with project management
• Experience with security operations, risk assessments, and crisis‑related exercises
• Knowledge of or certification within ISO 27001 and ISO 31000

Competencies

• Strong understanding of physical security and emergency management
• Solid project coordination and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively across cultures and international environments
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• A holistic and structured problem‑solving mindset with a clear “one team” mentality
• Competence in risk analysis methods such as Bowtie and SWOT, vulnerability assessment, and security monitoring
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain clarity in decision‑making
• Additional knowledge within the fire safety field would be beneficial
