Role Description:

The Game Dev Intern role is a part-time remote internship focused on building web-based games at SJA Verse. Interns will work on live game projects using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Responsibilities include implementing gameplay features, building game UI components, writing and testing game logic, debugging and optimizing code, integrating assets, and contributing to game design decisions. Interns may also work on the flagship 3D multiplayer project using Three.js and Socket.io. You gain real game development experience while also having access to SJA Pathway’s AI career tools to help you land your next role.

Qualifications:

• Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and React

• Understanding of game programming: game loops, state management, collision detection, scoring systems

• Familiarity with HTML5 Canvas, Phaser.js, or Three.js is a plus

• Understanding of OOP and component-based architecture

• Experience with Git (branching, pull requests, code reviews)

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
