Entry-Level Grant Research & Writing Assistant (Part-Time, Remote)

Entry-level, part-time role for early-career writers, VAs, or researchers in the Philippines looking to build a specialty in grant writing. Training is provided, so no prior grant experience is needed.

Location: Remote

Hours: 10-15 hours/week, flexible, mostly async with some overlap with Pacific Time

Compensation: hourly rate, with performance bonuses as appropriate

Languages: Fluent written English required

Responsibilities

* Research business and artist grants, funds, and fellowships that match our eligibility

* Build and maintain a grant tracker with deadlines, requirements, and award amounts

* Draft and edit grant narratives, budgets, and supporting materials

* Adapt existing application materials for new opportunities

* Use AI tools to speed up research and drafting, then fact-check, edit, and refine the results

* Track submissions, results, and reporting requirements

Qualifications

* Excellent written English, with a clear and natural writing style

* Hands-on experience collaborating with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for research and writing. This means giving clear context and direction, pushing back on weak output, catching errors, and revising until the work is right, rather than copying and pasting.

* Strong online research skills and attention to detail

* Organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently with deadlines

* Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

* Grant writing or proposal experience is a plus but not required

* Interest in the arts, music, or creative industries is a plus
