Role Description
This is a remote, contract role for a Graphic Designer Intern. The intern will shape the visual identity of Get a Shop Africa by designing promotional banners, feature mockups, educational carousels, and branded digital assets that communicate our platform tools clearly. Daily tasks include creating social media creatives, supporting launch campaigns with visual content, and maintaining visual consistency across all platforms. The intern will work closely with the social media and marketing team on content ideas and campaign design needs, and contribute to the overall visual growth of the brand.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess basic graphic design skills for creating clean, modern, and engaging visuals for digital platforms.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Photoshop, Canva, Figma and Illustrator.
- Candidates should possess a good visual sense and sharp attention to detail.
- Candidates should be creative and willing to improve through feedback and revisions.
- Candidates should have an interest in branding and digital design.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with motion graphics is an advantage.
- Interest in digital commerce, startups, and the African business ecosystem is beneficial.

Time Commitments

This role is task driven with flexible hours. You manage your own time as long as deliverables are met. We are looking for people who are committed, eager to learn, and ready to experience what it truly means to build in a startup environment. Experience is welcome but not required. What matters most is your willingness to show up, take ownership, and follow through. If you know you cannot commit to the tasks and the learning process, this role is not for you.
