Title: Graphic & Digital Designer
Reports to: Head of Brand & Marketing
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time - 35 Hours per week - Mon - Fri 9am to 5pm
Location: The Society operates a hybrid working model with a combination of remote and in-person (Dublin 4 office) working
Office Days: Office attendance days are Wednesday & Thursday
Salary: €51,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Graphic and Digital Designer to support the creative development and delivery of our marketing campaigns, brand activity, communications and fundraising initiatives and digital content and activation across the organisation. This is an ideal role for a Design Professional who is creative, digitally fluent and organised with excellent project management and communication skills.
What you’ll do:
As Graphic & Digital Designer, your role will be to lead on the development of the Society’s visual assets, both graphic and digital, across all communications channels for the Irish Cancer Society Brand, working closely with the Head of Brand & Marketing and the wider marketing and digital marketing team. You will support all areas of the organisation, producing visual, marketing campaign and digital assets for teams such as Fundraising; Advocacy, Communications, Patient Education and Engagement and Patient Services.
You will lead on the design and delivery of creative and campaign work that strengthens the Society's brand, supports strategic objectives, and helps connect with audiences in meaningful and impactful ways.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, you will develop innovative creative solutions for advertising, digital and Social media, print and all marketing channels and. You will provide leadership on design best practice and ensure a consistent and compelling visual presence across all audience touchpoints.
You will bring a strong understanding of digital design, consumer engagement and traditional marketing communications. In addition, you will oversee and project manage external creative partners and freelance resources to support the delivery of creative assets and campaign creative.
Design & Creative Production
Design and create engaging digital assets for websites, social media, email marketing, digital advertising, and other online channels.
Produce high-quality print materials including brochures, booklets, leaflets, event materials, fundraising resources, reports, banners, and exhibition collateral to support.
Create animations and motion graphics to enhance online digital marketing advertising.
Develop visually compelling infographics and other visual content that simplify complex information.
Ensure all creative work aligns with organisational brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity across all channels.
Contribute creative ideas and concepts for campaigns, projects, and communications initiatives.
Stay up to date with design trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance creative output.
Campaign & Content Development
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to develop creative concepts and visual assets for integrated campaigns.
Support the creation of campaign toolkits, design assets, and promotional materials across multiple channels.
Help deliver engaging visual experiences that resonate with diverse audiences.
Ensure campaign creative is delivered consistently across all touchpoints.
Project Management & Collaboration
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously from brief through to final delivery.
Work closely with internal teams to understand requirements and develop effective creative solutions.
Communicate clearly with stakeholders throughout project lifecycles and respond constructively to feedback.
Coordinate with external suppliers, printers, photographers, videographers, and agencies where required.
Oversee external Design Agencies and Freelancers and the corresponding design briefing process from brief through to delivery of creative.
Use project management tools and workflows to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time.
Asset & Brand Management
Maintain and organise the organisation's library of creative assets, including photography, video, templates, logos, and design files.
Support the ongoing development and implementation of brand guidelines.
Help ensure the effective management of creative assets, licences, trademarks, and copyright requirements.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Degree or similar qualification in Design, Graphic Design. Digital Media, Art, or a related subject.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in graphic design, digital design, or a related creative role.
Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in both digital and graphic design.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, or equivalent software.
Experience designing content for digital channels including social media, websites, email marketing, and online advertising, to include motion graphics.
Experience producing print-ready advertising artwork and managing production processes with media outlets.
Strong typography, layout, visual storytelling, and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
Understanding and experience of traditional marketing campaign activation and TTL marketing campaigns, to include ATL Print advertising.
Desirable
Photography and photo editing experience.
Copywriting or content creation skills.
Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
