 The snapshot

Staffstream is hiring a Growth Marketer for an Australian personal development and coaching brand built around self-discovery, transformation, and living with intention, grounded in a spiritual philosophy. The Founder is the face of the brand: a credible, purpose-driven person with a compelling story and a genuine, engaged community, including long-time followers from an earlier venture who know and trust his work.

The foundations are already in place: a defined ideal client, a comprehensive brand guide, existing funnels, and a content assistant who produces posts and reels. What's missing is the marketing expertise to turn those pieces into consistent, paying customers. This is a hands-on growth role, not a reporting role. The Founder wants someone who knows what to do, recommends it with clear reasoning, and gets on with it, rather than someone who waits for direction. You'd start small, test quickly, prove what works, and then scale it. This role is open to candidates based in the Philippines.

Worth knowing upfront: this is an early-stage growth function for a cost-conscious, solo-founder business. There's no existing marketing team and no documented strategy yet, and current lead volume is low, so you'll be building the system as much as running it.

What you will actually do

Customer acquisition strategy and funnel

  • Own the strategy for acquiring customers and community members, including audience, messaging, positioning, and channel priorities.

  • Map and improve the full journey from first touchpoint to paying customer, identifying where prospects drop off and fixing it.

  • Design the funnels and landing experiences needed to support campaigns, and brief the team who builds them.

  • Build a plan to convert the brand's existing warm audience, including long-standing followers, into community members and customers.

  • Set up and manage email nurture sequences in ActiveCampaign.

Paid advertising

  • Plan, launch, and optimise paid campaigns, with Meta as the primary platform, considering others such as YouTube and Google where the audience and results justify it.

  • Recommend a starting budget, run small controlled tests, and present a clear scaling plan based on results.

  • Own targeting, creative direction, and performance benchmarks, grounded in the ideal client profile and brand guide.

Content direction

  • Set the content strategy: topics, angles, formats, and channels that support acquisition, not content for its own sake.

  • Develop video concepts, hooks, and scripts for organic and paid content, and brief the content assistant to produce them.

  • Keep organic and paid activity aligned so both support the same growth goals and the Founder's personal brand.

Performance measurement and reporting

  • Define the KPIs, track performance by channel, and use the data to decide where time and budget go next.

  • Give the Founder regular, clear updates on what's working, what isn't, and what you recommend doing about it, in plain English rather than marketing jargon, since he isn't a marketer himself.

What you need to bring

  • Mid-level growth or digital marketing experience, with real ownership of customer acquisition. Experience as a sole or lead marketer, rather than one specialist on a larger team, is a strong signal here.

  • Hands-on experience running paid campaigns, particularly on Meta, with results you can quantify, such as return on ad spend, cost per lead, or conversion rate.

  • Proven budget judgment: you've recommended a starting budget and scaled spend based on performance, rather than only executing against a budget someone else set.

  • Experience building or improving funnels from awareness through to leads, booked calls, or sales, including email nurture.

  • Experience shaping content strategy and short-form video concepts, and briefing a content creator to deliver them. You won't be expected to shoot or edit video yourself.

  • Comfortable interpreting data and turning it into clear decisions.

  • Genuinely self-directed: you work independently, make sound recommendations without waiting for direction, and communicate progress clearly and simply to someone without a marketing background.

  • Practical, hands-on use of AI tools such as ChatGPT as a real part of your marketing workflow, not just passing familiarity.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ActiveCampaign.

  • Experience in personal development, coaching, wellness, or a community or membership-based business.

  • Experience building awareness for a brand that started with a limited online presence.

  • Comfort introducing new AI tools into a workflow, beyond just ChatGPT.

  • Your own video editing tools or skills (for example, CapCut). This is a bonus, not a requirement.

  • Experience with an Australian audience specifically. This is a plus, not essential.

The setup

  • This role is open to Philippines-based candidates, part-time at 20 hours per week, with a possible move to full-time later if results justify it.

  • Reports directly to the Founder, who provides brand context, approves key decisions, and is happy to engage directly with prospective clients himself.

  • Works alongside the Founder's existing content assistant as a partner: you provide the strategy and direction, she produces the content. You are not responsible for managing her or her workload.

  • The Founder prefers short, clear written updates: what's happening, what you recommend, and what you need from him.
