Role Purpose

We are hiring a Reliability Engineer to help ensure the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of our next-generation aircraft. In this role you are accountable for developing system reliability documents, understanding and mitigating potential risks, and contributing to the design of the aircraft fleet and ground support equipment, reporting to the Head of Hardware Architecture, Reliability, and Validation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform system safety and reliability assessments across aircraft systems and subsystems

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and application of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs)
  • Develop a ground-up understanding of aircraft reliability, including component- and subsystem-level failure modes and dependencies
  • Establish measurable reliability targets for subsystems in partnership with design and engineering teams

Identify, assess, and communicate the highest-priority reliability risks

Recommend risk-reduction and reliability-improvement actions based on engineering analysis, test data, and operational experience

Support verification and validation activities to confirm that reliability requirements and targets have been met

Analyse test results, field data, failure reports, and operational trends to identify emerging issues and drive corrective actions

Work closely with the Airworthiness team to provide reliability evidence that meets stringent aircraft regulatory standards

What You’ll Bring

Strong understanding of reliability-engineering principles, failure modes, risk assessment, and root-cause analysis

Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills

Ability to translate reliability risks and operational data into clear engineering requirements and design recommendations

Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving products and operations

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, systems, or reliability engineering, or a related technical field

Minimum 5+ years of working experience

Nice to have: 8+ years of relevant experience in an aerospace reliability function

Experience performing reliability or safety analysis for complex, safety-critical system

Nice to have

Practical experience developing and facilitating DFMEAs

Experience establishing reliability targets and allocating them across systems and subsystems.

Experience using test, maintenance, or in-service operational data to improve product reliability.

Experience supporting aircraft development, certification, entry into service, or fleet operations

What Success Looks Like

You will create clear visibility into the systems’ most significant reliability risks, establish actionable subsystem targets, and ensure reliability considerations meaningfully shape the design. You will help build a disciplined reliability program that supports safe, dependable aircraft operations as the company scales the aircraft fleet.
