Your role in our shared journey

Based at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you'll lead Commercial Business Control: a team of 9 finance professionals covering our wholesale markets (UK, Germany, Spain, France and Sweden) and our retail and e-commerce channels. You'll own the commercial view of performance, from gross sales and discounts through to net sales, across channels, categories and markets. Reporting to the Director of Business Control, you'll work closely with Commercial, Category, Operations and FP&A leadership. Part of your team works from other ASICS locations, so expect some travel to get to know them.

ASICS is growing fast across EMEA, and we want finance in the room when commercial decisions are made. That means asking why a number moves, challenging assumptions on forecasts, trade terms and discounts, and turning results into clear recommendations the business acts on. You'll lead that shift with full backing from Finance leadership and a team that's ready for it. This is a hybrid role, with 2 to 3 days a week in our Hoofddorp office, and relocation support is available.

What You'll Achieve In Your First 12 Months

Your team brings real insight to every business review, explaining why the numbers move by account, category and channel. Finance is a trusted partner in commercial decisions, including trade terms and discounts with our wholesale accounts. Overall, you'll have played a key leadership role in shaping financial performance, strengthening commercial decision-making and supporting sustainable growth across ASICS EMEA.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Team Leadership:Lead, coach and develop 8 to 9 finance professionals across several countries, building a culture of accountability, collaboration and analytical excellence.
• Commercial Performance Management:Lead performance analysis across channels, categories and markets, with a strong focus on gross sales, discounts, net sales and the drivers behind them. Spot sales risks, opportunities and gaps early, and build action plans with commercial stakeholders to close them.
• Planning & Forecasting:Lead gross sales, discount and net sales budgeting, forecasting and mid-term planning. Make sure every plan rests on sound business assumptions, with clear KPIs to track performance.
• Strategic Business Partnering:Be a trusted finance partner to senior commercial leadership, bringing insight, constructive challenge and clear recommendations to strategic and day-to-day decisions.
• Commercial Decision Support: Lead the financial evaluation of commercial initiatives, investments and business cases, so every decision supports sustainable, profitable growth.
• S&OE and S&OP:Take an active part in sales and operations planning with Commercial, Category, Operations and FP&A, challenging commercial assumptions and making sure the insights land in forecasts and seasonal plans.
  
  

Essential

You have the following skills:

• 10+ years' experience in business controlling, FP&A or commercial finance, ideally in an international organisation.
• Proven experience leading and developing a team of experienced finance professionals, ideally across multiple locations.
• Experience in a large, complex organisation, where you've influenced decisions across several teams and layers of management.
• A strong track record partnering with senior commercial stakeholders, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and change decisions.
• Able to turn complex financial information into clear insight and practical recommendations, in fluent English.
• Strong grasp of commercial performance drivers, planning and forecasting, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

• Experience in sporting goods, FMCG, wholesale, retail or e-commerce.
• Experience leading a team spread across several countries.
