About the Role


For the establishment of our Data Office, you will create governance structures, ensure transparency and coordinate collaboration between the relevant functions across the organization.

You will not be responsible for operational data work. Instead, you will ensure that the right stakeholders work together effectively, that decisions are made transparently, can be traced and that a company-wide framework for data management is established. Functional and operational responsibility remains with the respective business functions and subject matter experts.


Key Responsibilities


  • Build and develop a company-wide Data Office as a central governance and coordination function
  • Establish pragmatic governance structures, role models and processes for an organization-wide data management
  • Create transparency regarding data ownership, standards, decision-making processes and areas requiring action
  • Build and continuously develop a network of Data Owners and Data Stewards
  • Facilitate and coordinate collaboration between Data Owners and Data Stewards across the business functions IT, Digital Excellence, Legal & Compliance, Master Data Management and other relevant stakeholders
  • Drive the further development of our data management and data governance landscape. Create the organizational foundations for analytics, automation and AI initiatives

Your Profile


  • Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Process Management or Transformation
  • Proven experience in establishing governance structures and managing cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong understanding of organizational structures, responsibilities and complex stakeholder environments
  • Ability to align diverse interests and develop sustainable, workable solutions
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and influencing skills
  • Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach
  • Ability to drive change and inspire people to work towards shared goals
  • Passion for building structures, creating transparency and fostering sustainable collaboration
  • Fluent in German and English
