About Mimo
MimoLabs builds Mimo, an agentic system for making physical things. Describe anything and Mimo helps you make it: he designs the geometry, simulates that it can be made, configures material, process and price, and routes it to production, across 3D printing, CNC, laser cutting and more. Mimo ships today as Mimo Studio for anyone regardless of skill, and we are building developer tools and enterprise solutions for more technical applications.
We are a VC funded, experienced technical team, based at Newlab in Detroit and remote across the US.
About the role
Mimo Studio is in a private beta, and the launch that follows it is yours. You will be the first marketing hire and will build the function: positioning and voice, the site, content and video, community, lifecycle, the funnel and the launch. You will work directly with the founders and with the engineers building the product, and you will have real things to show every week, because the product makes them.
What you will do
Set the positioning and voice, consistent and human everywhere Mimo appears, for example the site, the product, the launch and the founders' own channels.
Own the funnel end to end, measured weekly with an experiment cadence, for example signup to activation to paid, and what moves each step.
Make the content and video: product demos, technical content and search, including AI search, for example a build filmed from the first prompt to the finished part.
Build the community where engineers, product teams and manufacturers already are.
Plan and run the launch: moments, assets and measurement.
Open developer and business marketing as those surfaces open.
You may be a good fit if you have
5+ years, including a launch you led for a prosumer or developer product sold product-led, with ownership of signup, activation and conversion metrics.
A builder: you ship pages, automations, lifecycle email and analytics yourself.
A writer: clear, fast and human, with positioning that lands with engineers and manufacturing teams.
Technical literacy: comfortable with APIs, docs and the product itself.
AI in your workflow: agents run your content and operations pipeline, and you judge the output.
Senior: you set the plan, build the function and push back on founders.
Nice to have
3D printing, hardware or manufacturing affinity.
Video: YouTube, short-form, product demos.
Developer marketing or developer relations; product marketing for enterprise buyers.
Programmatic SEO, paid performance, community operations at scale.
How we work
Everyone here runs several AI agents on our own tooling, and marketing is no exception: you are free to build your own tooling and change how we tell the story. We judge the work by what it produces: a signup that activates, a launch that lands, a story an engineer repeats. We are fast and adaptable, honest with each other about what is working, and we celebrate the wins. We are a small team that loves what it is building.
Pay, equity and benefits
$140K–$190K base and equity, four-year vesting with a one-year cliff.
Health, dental and vision.
Logistics
Location: remote across the US; the company's home is Newlab in Detroit, with occasional travel there.
Work authorization: US work authorization is required, and we are not able to sponsor visas for this role.
Education: no degree requirement.
AI: we use AI tools to organize and summarize applications; a person reads every application and makes every decision. Use AI to prepare yours if you like; the short answers in the form should be your own.
Process: a call with a founder, a working conversation on a real problem from the role, a conversation with the team, references, offer.
Safety: we only write from mimolabs.ai addresses and never ask for money, fees or banking details before your first day.
