As Jackfruit Adventure enters its 5th year of business, we are transitioning from founder-led execution into a scalable, high-growth engine. We are looking for an exceptional, detail-obsessed Head of Operations to take full ownership of our daily event execution, vendor ecosystems, and pricing workflows.
We don’t hire smart people to tell them what to do. We want an operational leader who builds scalable systems, takes total ownership of execution, and tells us how to run operations faster, cleaner, and more profitably.
This is not a purely administrative role. It is a strategic leadership position for a confident decision-maker who thrives under high pressure, commands respect on the ground, and takes immense pride in flawless event execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Multi-Project & Live Event Execution
- Own end-to-end operational execution for multiple group trips, MICE projects, corporate events, and custom travel itineraries simultaneously with zero detail slippage.
- Travel frequently to different locations for site inspections, vendor walkthroughs, client site checks, and live event management.
- Make swift, confident, and decisive operational calls under high-pressure live event situations.
- Build standardized execution checklists, SOPs, and contingency protocols to safeguard our guest experience.
2. External Team Leadership & Outsourcing Management
- Serve as the confident, primary face and executive voice of Jackfruit Adventure when directing external event production teams, site operators, and third-party vendors.
- Manage, lead, and command respect from on-the-ground execution teams to ensure strict alignment with our quality and safety standards.
3. Vendor Ecosystem & Community Impact Networks
- Actively build, negotiate, and nurture long-term partnerships with commercial suppliers (hotels, restaurants, airlines, transport providers, event tool suppliers, and print vendors) to continuously expand our gross profit margins.
- Manage and expand relationships with local community partners (NGOs, orphanages, and centers for the disabled and elderly) to integrate deep social impact into our programs.
4. Sales Quotation Support & Pricing Systems
- Support the Sales & Marketing department by delivering rapid, hyper-accurate cost calculations and budget breakdowns for custom client proposals.
- Build and update dynamic pricing models and quotation calculators to accelerate sales turnaround times while protecting profit margins.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience preferred in MICE, event management, tour operations, or the travel industry (exceptional candidates with 3–4 years of high-volume, hands-on event execution experience are also encouraged to apply).
- Presence & Authority: High confidence in public speaking and communication—capable of representing the company professionally in front of corporate clients, third-party event crews, and partners.
- Cultural Passion & Purpose: A strong passion for sharing Vietnamese culture, storytelling, and creating a positive community impact through travel and team building.
- High-Pressure Resilience: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines and changing conditions without losing composure.
- Mobility: Fully willing and flexible to travel frequently across various domestic locations for site checks, client walkthroughs, and live events.
- Analytical & Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel/Google Sheets) for budget tracking, cost optimization, and dynamic pricing tools.
- Languages: Professional written and spoken fluency in English and Vietnamese.
