Company Overview:
Claims Intelligence, a Vantora (formerly UP.Labs) portfolio company, is hiring a hands-on Head of Product. Claims Intelligence is building an AI-powered claims and litigation intelligence platform that helps commercial trucking carriers move from reactive defense to proactive risk management.

Commercial auto claims are a $32B+ annual problem, and the cost keeps growing. The moments that matter most in a claim happen in its first 72 hours. Once plaintiff counsel gets involved, settlement costs can multiply several times over. Today, carriers’ claims teams are working from disconnected tools, examiners carry far more open claims than the industry standard, and critical judgment lives in the heads of a few senior staff. Claims Intelligence is a real-time decision layer embedded directly in the claims workflow. It surfaces the right guidance at intake, triages and routes claims automatically, and gives examiners data-driven settlement and fraud intelligence.

As the first product leader, you will own the product end-to-end: strategy, roadmap, design partner relationships, and the customer experience. You’ll be the voice of the claims examiner and risk manager inside the company and the face of the product with customers, working closely with the CEO, Engineering, and Data Science to turn real-world claims workflows into intelligent, automated software.

You’ll also have access to the Vantora ecosystem, a world-class team across product, engineering, design, analytics, marketing, legal, talent, finance, and venture capital, to help accelerate execution.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Own product strategy and the roadmap across the platform’s core capabilities:
    • Intake Intelligence: AI-guided questioning and risk-flagging at first notice of loss
    • Lifecycle Orchestration: automated dispatch, routing, and compliance coordination
    • Decision Intelligence: settlement guidance, fraud analysis, and capturing institutional knowledge
  • Work directly with design partner carriers to deeply understand claims workflows, from intake through examiner review and resolution, and translate them into products examiners actually use.
  • Own the customer experience early on, including onboarding, adoption, and customer success, and build that function as the customer base grows.
  • Join the CEO in customer meetings, roadshows, and new design partner conversations as the product expert.
  • Partner closely with Data Science to turn models into explainable, trusted product experiences, and with Engineering to deliver rapid MVP iterations.
  • Get hands-on: prototype and vibe-code concepts, build analytics and reporting on top of the product, and define how success is measured.
  • Design integrations and workflows that fit how claims teams already work, including within systems of record like Origami Risk and Guidewire.
  • Define the product vision as the company expands from carriers to insurers, TPAs, and adjacent markets.

Who You Are:
  • A product leader who knows the claims world, whether from insurtech, insurance, or claims technology.
  • Customer-obsessed and comfortable being the face of the product with senior risk, claims, and safety leaders.
  • Technically strong enough to go deep with engineers and data scientists, and to build prototypes and analytics yourself.
  • A strong communicator who can translate complex AI and data capabilities into clear value for customers.
  • A builder who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by taking a product from 0→1 at an early-stage startup.

You Should Have:
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years in a product leadership role or as the senior product owner at a startup.
  • Direct experience building products in insurtech, P&C insurance, claims management, or risk technology. Experience with claims, litigation management, or examiner/adjuster workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience shipping B2B SaaS products that embed AI/ML or data-driven decisioning into enterprise workflows.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers, including discovery, design partnerships, onboarding, and adoption.
  • Comfort with data: ability to define metrics, build analytics, and work closely with data science teams.
  • Familiarity with claims systems such as Origami Risk, Guidewire, or similar is a strong plus.
  • Experience at an early-stage startup is strongly preferred.
  • Background in trucking, transportation, or logistics is not required.

Location: New York City preferred. Exceptional remote candidates will be considered.

Why Join:
  • Solve a high-stakes, high-dollar problem where better decisions in the first 72 hours of a claim directly reduce settlement costs.
  • Build a category-defining platform in a whitespace no existing player occupies: carrier-side, bodily-injury focused, and embedded in the examiner workflow.
  • Own the product from day one, with real influence over strategy, customers, and company direction.
  • Work with leading trucking carriers already engaged as design partners.
  • Meaningful equity ownership in a high-growth venture with enterprise-scale potential.

About Vantora:

Our platform is unique in three ways:
  • Risk: We reward our team and partners with meaningful equity.
  • Technology: We build and launch scalable technology products from day one.
  • Industry Focus: We stay deeply focused on the underlying fabric of mobility and logistics.
