About You
The Head of Strategic Delivery is a senior position responsible for driving the delivery of strategic initiatives, identifying and assessing growth opportunities and improving business performance.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (with a dotted line to the Chief Executive Officer) and working closely with the Leadership Team, the Head of Strategic Delivery will lead the implementation of the organisation’s strategy, assess new business opportunities and drive organisation improvement through innovation. The role also acts as a critical line of sight across the organisation, challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities and acting as the strategic advisor to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Translate priorities arising from the annual and multi-year strategic planning cycle into a coordinated program of work with clear outcomes, accountabilities and success measures.
- Partner with the organisation’s leaders to ensure alignment between strategy, budgeting, risk, workforce planning, digital strategy, and operational delivery.
- Oversee the organisation’s portfolio of major programs, transformation initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Oversee the enterprise project management frameworks and quality assurance standards.
- Provide oversight, challenge, and intervention to ensure delivery discipline, including proactive escalation and resolution of delivery risks.
- Develop an enterprise performance management framework, including KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
- Proactively identify and evaluate emerging trends, external best practices, and new opportunities across the legal, professional services, and education sectors, translating these into strategic recommendations, pilots, and innovation initiatives that strengthen LIV’s future relevance and growth.
To be considered, you must demonstrate:
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into actionable execution plans.
- Proven ability to identify, assess and implement new services.
- Demonstrated capability to drive delivery of complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through to implementation and benefits realisation. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
- Proven ability to lead transformation and organisational improvement initiatives.
- Executive‑level communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- 10+ years in senior roles across strategy, program delivery, transformation, or organisational performance.
- Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in a large organisation.
- Experience with strategic planning, portfolio management, and executive-level reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, management, public administration, or related fields (postgraduate desirable).
