Head of Technology

Role Description The Head of Technology at Saudi Satr | سطر السعودية is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing all technology-related activities and ensuring alignment with business goals. This role includes leading IT strategy and planning, supervising IT operations, and guiding the development and maintenance of core infrastructure. The Head of Technology will collaborate with leadership to prioritize technology initiatives, manage vendors and service providers, and establish standards for security, reliability, and scalability. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing system performance, directing improvement projects, defining policies and procedures, and supporting cross-functional teams with technology solutions. The role also includes mentoring technical contributors, managing budgets for technology investments, and staying informed about emerging tools and best practices relevant to the organization.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Information Technology, with the ability to oversee diverse technical environments and solutions.
• Proven experience in IT Management and IT Operations, including leading teams, setting processes, and ensuring stable day-to-day technology performance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute IT Strategy that supports organizational growth and long-term objectives.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance, including cloud and network environments.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in remote and cross-cultural settings.
• Experience managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and service-level agreements.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data protection practices, and regulatory compliance relevant to digital businesses.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., Head of Technology, CTO, IT Director) is highly beneficial.
