Opportunity Overview

Our client is a growing international content agency creating a senior leadership layer for its Cairo-based video editing team. The Head of Video will bring together professional editing expertise and people management, coordinating workload and quality review as the business expands. This new position will strengthen day-to-day production delivery and give the founders more capacity to focus on growth.

Role Description

In this full-time role, you will lead a Cairo-based team of video editors and oversee the day-to-day delivery of video work. You will allocate and prioritise assignments, assess what each edit requires, and review outputs before they reach the founders, helping work meet a high quality standard. You will coach editors, communicate clearly with the team and founders, and contribute to a collaborative production function; client-facing work will be occasional. Hours are Monday to Friday on UK time with remote work and in-person Cairo collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership - Manage the Cairo-based video editors' daily workload, responsibilities, and professional development.
• Work Allocation - Assign and prioritise production tasks according to deadlines, team capacity, and changing business needs.
• Quality Review - Review edits, provide structured feedback, and prepare work for founders' approval.
• Editing Expertise - Apply professional editing experience to judge feasibility, effort, and realistic delivery timelines.
• Coaching - Train editors and support continued development of their video production skills.
• Founder Partnership - Communicate production progress clearly with founders and contribute to internal planning.

Minimum Qualifications

• English Fluency - Fluent, excellent written and spoken English is mandatory for this role.
• Management Experience - Several years leading video editors; 5-10 combined years remains a flexible benchmark.
• Editing Expertise - Professional video editing background to review work and assess production feasibility.
• Cairo Location - Based in Cairo, Egypt, and available for in-person collaboration with the team.
• Communication - Strong communication with editors and founders; minimum C1 English across speaking, reading, writing, listening.

Bonus Qualifications

• Short-Form Editing - Experience editing short-form LinkedIn, thought-leadership, or podcast content for professional audiences.
• International Teams - Experience working across international organisations or globally distributed teams in a creative environment.
