Shape the future of water treatment assets We're looking for a strategic and inspiring Head of Water Asset Treatment Programme to lead the planning, optimisation and lifecycle management of our water production assets. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the long-term resilience, reliability and performance of our treatment works, pumping stations and associated infrastructure. You'll play a key role in delivering safe, sustainable and high-quality water services for our customers while helping shape future investment and asset strategies. Working across operational, engineering, regulatory and financial teams, you'll combine technical expertise, strategic thinking and strong leadership to drive asset performance and support our ambitious plans for the future. What you'll be doing: As Head of Water Asset Treatment, you will: Develop and own long-term asset strategies and plans for water treatment and production assets. Lead the identification, prioritisation and justification of capital maintenance and enhancement programmes. Shape business planning and regulatory submissions, including future AMP investment programmes. Drive risk-based, data-led asset management approaches to support effective decision-making. Champion the use of asset health insights, performance data, deterioration modelling and whole-life cost analysis. Ensure resilience is embedded within our asset portfolio, reducing risk and eliminating single points of failure. Sponsor major projects through the delivery lifecycle, ensuring governance and performance requirements are met. Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Asset Planning, Quality, Regulation and Finance teams to deliver integrated solutions. Engage with external stakeholders, regulators and industry partners to support transparent and effective planning. Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing team, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. Embed sustainability principles across asset strategies, including energy efficiency, chemical optimisation, waste reduction and circular economy initiatives. What we're looking for: We're seeking a proven leader with significant experience in asset management within the water, utilities or related infrastructure sectors. You'll bring: Extensive experience leading asset management or asset strategy teams. Strong knowledge of asset management frameworks such as ISO 55000. A deep understanding of regulatory environments and capital investment planning. Commercial and financial acumen, including whole-life costing and risk-based investment decision making. Experience developing long-term asset strategies and business cases. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experience working with asset management systems, GIS platforms or similar technologies. Knowledge of AMP/Price Review planning cycles or comparable regulatory programmes. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable but would accept working towards or relevant experience. Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Asset Management or a related discipline. Why join us?
