About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Hotel Distribution Systems Consultant to join a strategic initiative for our client, JKTech, based in Stockholm, Sweden. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise across core hospitality platforms—including Central Reservation Systems (CRS), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Property Management Systems (PMS), Channel Managers, and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs).
In this role, you will lead solution alignment, system configurations, and end-to-end integration workflows across global hotel distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the SME for hotel distribution architectures, connectivity models, and reservation flows.
- Oversee and optimize seamless integrations between CRS, PMS, Channel Managers, GDS (Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport), and OTAs (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia).
- Analyze rate parity, inventory synchronization, ARI (Availability, Rates, and Inventory) messaging, and booking lifecycle transactions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to troubleshoot complex data discrepancies and connectivity issues.
- Guide technical teams on industry standards, protocols, and APIs (HTNG, OTA/XML, REST/JSON).
- Identify opportunities to enhance distribution efficiency, minimize booking failures, and optimize system performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12+ years of total IT/consulting experience with a dedicated focus on the hospitality and hotel technology domain.
- Core Systems: Extensive hands-on functional and technical knowledge of CRS, PMS, GDS, and Channel Management platforms.
- Integrations: Proven track record managing OTA direct connects, GDS connectivity, and third-party travel distribution channels.
- Protocols & Standards: Solid understanding of OpenTravel Alliance (OTA) XML specifications, HTNG messaging standards, and modern API architectures.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical background in diagnosing sync latency, mapping errors, rate disparity, and transaction drops.
- Communication: Excellent client-facing presentation and stakeholder management capabilities in English.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid model requiring 3 days onsite per week in Stockholm, Sweden. Candidates must have valid working rights for Sweden.
