This role operates as a shared HR Business Partner resource, supporting two Vice President HR Partner portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational HR Partnership

  • Provide day-to-day operational support across the HR Partner portfolios, acting as a reliable first point of contact for people-related queries from leaders and employees.
  • Manage and respond to requests from Exco-2 leaders, providing timely, well-considered advice on people matters, policies, and processes.
  • Function as backup to the HR Partner when capacity support is required (e.g., during leave or peak periods).
  • Support the delivery of organisational change initiatives, including restructures, by managing documentation, communications, and coordination activities.

Cyclical HR Activities

  • Drive the operational execution of key annual HR activities including remuneration reviews, off-cycle salary adjustments, performance calibrations, talent assessments, and people movements.
  • Track and report on key workforce metrics (e.g., attrition, headcount, engagement data) and ensure timely delivery of cyclical milestones.

Data, Analytics & Insights

  • Collate and analyse people data to inform decision-making, including benchmarking requests aligned to the Decision-Making Framework.
  • Prepare data-driven insights and reporting to support the HRBP in strategic conversations with senior leaders.

Centre of Expertise & Cross-Functional Liaison

  • Act as the key coordination point with People & Purpose Centres of Expertise (Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development).
  • Consult with Country HR Teams and People Services to ensure seamless delivery across geographies.
  • Serve as a conduit between COEs and the business to enable efficient, high-quality HR service delivery.

Process Design & HRBP Enablement

  • Design and improve people-related processes to drive consistency and efficiency across the employment lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline ways of working for the broader HR partnership team.
  • Coordinate across Global HR teams to gather information, confirm legal requirements, and share best practice.

Project Delivery

  • Represent the HRBP team on cross-functional projects, managing coordination, communications, and stakeholder updates.
  • Collaborate with Leaders, People Advisors/HRBPs, and People Services to ensure all project deliverables, documentation, and compliance requirements are met.

Organisational & Geographical Reach

  • Supports leaders up to Execo-2 level across the above Corporate Functions and Business Units within a complex, matrixed, multinational operating model.
  • Based in Kuala Lumpur with a global coordination remit, consulting with Country HR Teams, People Services, and Centres of Expertise (Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development) across multiple jurisdictions.

Functional Coverage

  • Spans the full employment lifecycle from an operational HR perspective – including workforce planning support, performance and talent cycles, remuneration processes, organisational change execution, and people data and analytics.
  • Owns the operational cadence of cyclical HR activities and serves as the primary coordination between the business, COEs, and People Services.
  • Operates with a high degree of autotomy on operational matters; escalates strategic, complex, or sensitive advisory matters to the Vice President HR Partners.
  • Acts as backup to the HR Parter during leave or peak periods with delegated authority as appropriate.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline.
  • 8 to 10 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated capability as an HR Advisor or Senior HR Generalist.
  • Strong experience in HR business partnering within multinational and/or matrix organizations.
  • Proven experience managing operational HR delivery across multiple business functions simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in organizational development and talent / change management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
  • Exposure to all facets of the employment lifecycle in a complex, matrixed, and geographically diverse organisation.
  • Experience operating effectively during periods of organisational transformation or meaningful change.
  • Experience supporting fast-paced, evolving environments is highly preferred.
