As a key member of the Global HR Digital team, this position leads and drives digital transformation (DX) across our global HR operations. As an Individual Contributor (IC) Manager without direct reports, you will have substantial autonomy at the forefront of strategic projects without the overhead of administrative people management.

Role Overview

Lead cross-functional teams spanning multiple regions to design, roll out, and operate unified global HR systems, delivering stable, high-quality system services to the worldwide HR community. You will balance day-to-day operations with strategic project execution to enhance the digital employee experience (EX) and empower business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & System Development:

Drive strategic planning and roadmap formulation for integrated global HR systems. Design and implement scalable enterprise platforms accommodating local/regional requirements while establishing global standardization.

System Implementation & Maintenance:

Oversee continuous maintenance and operations of core HR platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, etc.), driving operational efficiency and cost optimization through functional enhancements.

Cross-Regional Collaboration:

Partner closely with regional HR Digital leaders in Europe/IMEA, APAC, and the Americas to ensure consistent deployment, alignment, and governance of unified global solutions.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with business unit leaders and People Analytics/Reporting teams to deliver data-driven insights and capture business needs in the digital HR space. (Scope of duties may change based on operational requirements and individual suitability.)

Requirements & Qualifications

Work Experience:
Proven track record in implementing, maintaining, and operating enterprise core HR platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday) from either an in-house or consulting perspective.
8+ years of hands-on experience in HR operations and digital transformation (DX).
Experience working in global, multicultural environments and successfully leading large-scale HR technology implementation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with system integration and Master Data Management (MDM).
Knowledge of cutting-edge HR technologies (AI, workflow automation, employee self-service) and relevant project management certifications (PMP, Agile/Scrum, etc.).

Language Proficiency:
English: Business level or higher (Mandatory).
Japanese: Business level (JLPT N2 or equivalent preferred).

Working Conditions & Environment

Location: 1-1-1 Nishi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo (Osaki Garden Tower 24F). *Full remote work is available.

Working Hours: Standard hours 8:30 AM – 5:20 PM with a Full-Flex system (core-free, 5:00 AM – 10:00 PM). Due to global time differences, evening meetings (approx. 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM) occur several times per month.

Overtime: Approximately 0 to 30 hours per month on average.
Holidays & Leave: 5-day work week (Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays off), 125 annual holidays, hourly paid leave, and comprehensive special leaves.
