MMI currently has an opening for HUD Certified Housing Counselors. This position is full-time work from home in our virtual call center environment.

What will you do as a Housing Counselor?

At MMI, our Housing Counselors work with individuals and families concerning their mortgage or other housing concerns. MMI conducts several types of Housing sessions with our new hires predominantly working in our Borrower Success program, which includes pre-purchase Counseling. Counseling sessions take place via the phone in our virtual call center.

We are currently only considering candidates who are currently HUD certified.

Shift Requirements: Housing sessions are conducted Monday – Friday from 7am to 8pm Central Time.

Salary range is $18.50 - $23/hour based on experience, with an additional $.75/hour for those bilingual in Spanish.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Able to use empathy working with people experiencing emotional distress
• Able to utilize motivational techniques to help clients move forward in the direction that is best for their circumstances
• Ability to work independently in a telework environment
• Technical skills needed to maintain your home office and utilize on-line tools to work efficiently in your role.
