CIAM / IAM Controls Consultant

About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced CIAM / IAM Controls Consultant to support a large enterprise in strengthening its Identity & Access Management framework.

This position focuses on IAM governance, RBAC controls, and Identity Governance processes across the business. You will act as the bridge between technical IAM teams and business stakeholders, ensuring ownership, compliance, and remediation of access-related controls.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong IAM expertise with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate IAM and CIAM control activities across multiple business domains.
• Drive remediation and follow-up of IAM, IGA, and RBAC control findings.
• Work closely with business owners to ensure accountability and ownership of controls.
• Facilitate access reviews, certification campaigns, and governance processes.
• Support Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) controls and related compliance activities.
• Assist with access governance during reorganizations and organizational changes.
• Improve control documentation, procedures, and reporting.
• Translate technical IAM requirements into clear business actions.
• Deliver presentations and updates to business stakeholders and management.
• Collaborate with IAM Operations, Governance, and Authentication teams.
• Help drive IAM control maturity and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

• Proven experience within Identity & Access Management (IAM) environments.
• Strong understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) principles.
• Experience with IAM governance, access certifications, and compliance controls.
• Experience engaging with business stakeholders and driving remediation activities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to execute as well as advise.
• Experience documenting processes, controls, and governance frameworks.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ).
• Knowledge of Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) frameworks.
• Experience working within CIAM (Customer Identity & Access Management) environments.
• Familiarity with risk and control management practices.
