📱 In-App Campaign & Engagement Specialist (Product Focused and not Marketing Focused)
Please note: We are looking for product-focused candidates and not marketing-focused candidates.
📍 South Melbourne, VIC | Hybrid (Work from home every Monday) – 4 days per week in the office
💰 $90,000–$120,000 + Biannual Bonus (Bonuses in June and December)
⏰ Full-Time | Working hours: 10:00am–6:00pm or 11:00am–7:00pm (Transport expenses will be re-imbursed)
Our client is looking for an experienced In-App Campaign & Engagement Specialist to join their growing Product team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining product thinking, customer engagement, analytics, and campaign optimisation to create engaging user experiences within a consumer mobile application.
We are seeking an In-App Campaign & Engagement Specialist to plan, design, and optimise in-app campaigns, bonuses, and promotional activities. You will turn business goals into structured campaign logic, user flows, and PRDs, then use data to iterate on performance.
This role suits someone with strong product thinking and experience in campaign planning, CRM/lifecycle, or growth on consumer mobile products — not traditional offline or brand-only marketing.
If you have experience designing in-app campaigns, CRM/lifecycle strategies, or growth initiatives—and love using data to improve customer engagement—this could be the perfect next step in your career.
✨ What's on Offer
- Competitive salary of $90,000–$120,000 (Salary is slightly negotiable for a great candidate.)
- Hybrid working arrangement with work from home every Monday.
- Transportation allowance of $20 per day when working until 7:00pm in the office.
- Biannual performance bonus paid in June and December (pro-rated based on your commencement date).
- Opportunity to work on high-impact customer engagement initiatives within a fast-paced product environment.
📋 About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Leader, you'll be responsible for planning, designing, launching and optimising in-app campaigns that drive user retention, engagement, conversion and revenue.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics and Operations teams, you'll translate business objectives into structured campaign logic, user journeys and product requirements before analysing results and continuously improving campaign performance.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Plan in-app campaign calendars aligned to retention, conversion, reactivation, and ARPU goals
- Design campaign concepts: eligibility rules, reward mechanics, user flows, edge cases, and page/interaction logic
- Write clear PRDs and campaign briefs (Axure/Figma wireframes a plus) for product and engineering delivery
- Work cross-functionally from concept → launch → post-launch optimisation
- Analyse campaign performance (cohorts, funnel, ROI, uplift) and recommend refinements
- Identify new opportunities from user behaviour, segmentation, and market insights
- Support A/B tests and structured experimentation where applicable
- Collaborate with Product Operations and Analytics on measurement and learnings
👤 About You
You'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in product planning, in-app campaign/growth, CRM/lifecycle, or related roles on internet or mobile consumer products (3+ years for exceptional candidates)
- Strong logical thinking and structured problem-solving
- Proficiency in Axure (or similar) and PRD writing
- Data-informed decision making; comfortable reviewing dashboards and test results
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Full Australian work rights
- Can Speak and Write Mandarin is a must
⭐ Highly Regarded (Nice to have/Bonus)
- Experience with bonus/promo mechanics, leaderboards, missions, or gamified engagement
- Background in gaming, sports, fintech, or subscription/consumer apps
- Hands-on SQL or campaign analytics tools
- Familiarity with user segmentation, churn win-back, or VIP/high-value user programs
- Experience in Online Betting Industry.
- Prior people management experience (optional)
ℹ️ Additional Information
- Core Competency: Experience in designing in-app mechanics (e.g., bonus rules, mission systems, gamification) rather than running ad campaigns on external platforms (Facebook, TikTok or Google Ads).
- Deliverables: Candidates must be comfortable writing PRDs (Product Requirement Documents), defining user flows, and mapping out edge cases for engineers, rather than focusing on ad copy or brand creative.
- KPIs: Shift focus from CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) to Retention, LTV, and ARPU optimisation within the product. (This means the candidate should be data-driven, with hands-on SQL experience or a strong understanding of data models to design KPI targets and achieve them.)
- In short, we're looking for a Product Operations team's In-App Specialist who understands how to build and iterate on product features, not a marketer who drives external traffic.
If you're passionate about creating engaging customer experiences through data-driven product campaigns and would like to work in a collaborative, innovative environment, we'd love to hear from you.
