In House Accountant - Family Office, Overview Role, Flexibility

A Luxembourg-based Family Office is looking to bring its accounting function in-house by recruiting an Accountant to join its team. Until now managed by an external service provider, the accounting activities will gradually be handled internally, giving you the opportunity to play an active role in shaping this new setup.

As part of the team, you will gain direct exposure to the Family Office's financial and accounting operations, with a broad overview of its various activities. This close involvement will allow you to develop a deeper understanding of the business, broaden your expertise, and take on responsibilities that go beyond traditional accounting.

You will also benefit from the continued support of the fiduciary currently overseeing the accounts. As it will remain involved in other administrative and legal matters, its familiarity with the organisation will ensure a smooth transition and provide valuable guidance as you settle into your new role.

This position is particularly suited to someone who values trust, autonomy, and flexibility. You will have considerable freedom in managing your workload, without unnecessary supervision, as well as flexibility in terms of working hours and remote working arrangements.

The role can also be offered on an 80% basis, making it possible to combine an engaging professional position with personal commitments and interests.

Your Responsibilities | Accountant - Finance - In House - Holding - S.A. - Tax

• Manage the day-to-day accounting of holding companies, from recording transactions to overseeing the related accounting files.
• Handle tax-related matters, including the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns and VAT declarations.
• Act as a key point of contact for the management team based in Belgium and the Luxembourg fiduciary, ensuring smooth communication and effective coordination between all parties.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports, providing an overview of the Family Office's activities and overall financial performance.
• Take an active interest in the wider business beyond traditional accounting duties, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to the Family Office's various activities.
  
  

Profile and Career Path | Accountant - Finance - In House - Holding - S.A. - Tax

• You have at least six years of accounting experience in Luxembourg, gained within a fiduciary, holding company, Family Office, or accounting firm in Luxembourg.
• You have a strong understanding of the accounting requirements applicable to holding companies and public limited companies (S.A.).
• You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Any additional language would be considered an asset.
• You have demonstrated career stability and are looking to establish yourself within a company for the long term.
