Role Description The In-Person Coding & AI Instructor (Hybrid) is a full-time role based in Lagos, with a mix of on-site teaching and some work from home for planning and administrative tasks. The instructor will design and deliver age-appropriate coding and AI lessons for learners aged 5–16, using interactive, project-based methods. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching in-person classes, supervising hands-on activities, and adapting content to different learning levels. The role involves assessing student progress, providing feedback to learners and parents/guardians, and maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment. The instructor will also collaborate with the team to refine curricula, contribute to learning resources, and participate in occasional workshops, events, or community outreach.

Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in languages suitable for children’s learning (e.g., Scratch, Python, block-based coding tools, web development, game development, app development) and familiarity with AI concepts.
- Experience designing or delivering STEM, coding, or technology lessons for children or teens, with an emphasis on project-based and experiential learning.
- Ability to foster problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and resilience in young learners through structured activities and mentoring.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and gender-neutral teaching practices.
- Comfort using digital tools, learning platforms, and basic productivity software to plan lessons, track progress, and communicate with families and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in an edtech, school, or learning center environment and familiarity with the Lagos education landscape are advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Lagos with flexibility for hybrid arrangements, and willingness to work some weekdays and weekends as needed for classes or events.
