About the Role We are seeking an accomplished Independent Director to join the Board of this innovative Agri-Tech venture dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture and driving measurable environmental and social impact. The Independent Director will provide strategic direction and governance oversight with a strong focus on ESG, sustainability, and impact metrics, ensuring the company’s growth aligns with responsible business practices and long-term stakeholder value. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic guidance on integrating ESG principles into the company’s business model and operations. Advise on sustainability frameworks, impact measurement, and reporting mechanisms aligned with global standards. Oversee the organization’s environmental and social performance, ensuring accountability and transparency in impact outcomes. Support the Board and leadership team in setting sustainability goals, assessing progress, and identifying improvement areas. Offer insights on climate resilience, sustainable sourcing, regenerative agriculture, and technology-driven impact solutions. Contribute to corporate governance discussions, bringing an independent perspective to risk management, compliance, and ethical oversight. Champion stakeholder engagement by strengthening the company’s reputation with investors, partners, and regulatory bodies. Serve as an ambassador for the organization’s sustainability mission within the broader Agri-Tech and ESG ecosystem. Qualifications Proven board or senior leadership experience, ideally in Agri-Tech, sustainability, or impact-driven sectors. Deep understanding of ESG, sustainability frameworks, and impact measurement methodologies. Strong business acumen with the ability to balance growth, innovation, and governance priorities. Experience in sustainable finance, carbon management, or Agri-value chain transformation is an advantage. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
