Novaspect, Inc., a 100% employee-owned Emerson Impact Partner and leader in process automation systems and solutions, is seeking an Information Systems Manager to join our Technology Team in Schaumburg, Illinois. Reporting to the Vice President of Technology, this leader will oversee the people and enterprise applications that support Novaspect’s business operations, including Salesforce CRM, IFS ERP, and connected systems. The position is accountable for team development, reliable application operations, disciplined delivery of enhancements and integrations, and continuous improvement of business processes.
The ideal candidate is an experienced people leader who combines enterprise application expertise with business judgment, technical fluency, and strong execution skills. This individual will establish clear priorities, develop a capable team, work effectively with business leaders, and direct internal and external technical resources. The role requires sound technical decision-making and the ability to lead through others rather than serving as the department’s primary developer. This position is based in Schaumburg, IL, with a minimum of three days per week onsite.

- Lead resolution of significant application issues and root causes, ensuring timely communication, effective follow-through, and lasting corrective actions.
- Coordinate application upgrades, configuration changes, access practices, and production readiness with business owners, IT, and Cybersecurity.
Application Development and Integration Delivery
- Manage the application development and enhancement backlog, translating approved priorities into realistic assignments, resource plans, and delivery commitments.
- Direct application configuration, development, integrations, testing, and releases; guide technical decisions to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.

- Build trusted relationships with leaders across Sales, Finance, Service, Operations, and other functions to understand business needs and establish shared priorities.
- Translate operational challenges into practical system and process improvements that reduce manual work, strengthen data quality, and improve productivity and user experience.
- Communicate plans, progress, delivery risks, resource constraints, and tradeoffs clearly to technical teams, business stakeholders, and Technology leadership.
- Work with business owners to evaluate adoption and outcomes, demonstrating the value and effectiveness of delivered improvements.
Governance, Vendors, and Resource Management
- Maintain appropriate application documentation, access controls, change records, and operational standards, supporting security, data governance, and audit requirements.
- Oversee application vendors, consultants, and outsourced support or development resources, setting expectations for quality, delivery, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Support application budgets, licensing, workforce planning, and vendor evaluations to ensure effective use of resources and technology investments.
Information Systems Manager Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
