Infrastructure Project Manager

Our client, operating within the Insurance sector who is part of a large international Group, is undergoing a major Infrastructure & Cyber Security transformation, we are currently looking for an Technical Infrastructure Project Manager.

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and coordinate several technical projects across Networking, Infrastructure Migration, Security & Regulatory initiatives.

This is not a purely administrative Project Management role. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and be comfortable working directly with Infrastructure Engineers, Architects, Security Specialists, external suppliers & senior stakeholders.

A key part of the role will be acting as the bridge between the client’s local IT organisation and the wider Group, ensuring Group requirements are translated into realistic and proportionate solutions based on local priorities, capacity, risk & technical constraints.

Required skills:

• Strong experience managing Infrastructure / IT transformation projects.
• Previous experience delivering Network Segmentation projects.
• Good technical understanding of networking, including VLANs, subnetting, routing, firewalls & ACLs.
• Experience managing infrastructure migrations and complex technical change.
• Strong stakeholder management & negotiation skills.
• Ability to gather requirements from multiple stakeholders and translate them into realistic deliverables aligned with organisational priorities, capacity & constraints.
• Experience coordinating between technical teams, architects, security teams, external suppliers & senior stakeholders.
• Strong project governance, risk, dependency & change management experience.
• Ability to challenge requirements and propose pragmatic solutions rather than simply following Group-level requirements.
• Experience producing and maintaining project documentation, governance structures & RACI models.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience working within Insurance / Financial Services.
• Knowledge of DORA and regulated IT environments.
• Previous experience coordinating between a smaller local IT organisation and a larger international Group.
• Cyber Security / Infrastructure Security project experience.
• Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously.

Location / Duration :

• Brussels, Belgium / 80% Remote.
• Long-term Freelance contract.
