Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Monthly Pay: $3,961 - $5,732 USD per month
Summary:
Clear sales conversations help prospective customers choose suitable products or services and move confidently toward a purchase. This Inside Sales Representative role handles inside sales outreach, explains available options, and follows opportunities through to a buying decision. The position sits within the sales team, works under a sales team lead, and collaborates with sales colleagues and customer support contacts. This is a fully remote, desk-based position offering work from home in Minnesota, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review incoming sales inquiries, assigned prospect lists, emails, and scheduled callbacks to identify the next contact and prepare relevant product or service information.
- Check existing contact details, previous conversations, purchase interests, and opportunity status in a CRM such as Salesforce before starting outreach.
- Contact prospects through calls using a Contact-center phone system such as RingCentral and through email, introducing relevant offerings and confirming interest in further discussion.
- Ask discovery questions about customer needs, purchasing priorities, decision participants, and expected timing to determine whether available options are a suitable match.
- Explain product or service features, approved prices, and purchasing steps clearly, tailoring sales conversations to the needs identified rather than making unsupported promises.
- Respond to common objections, clarify comparisons using approved reference materials, and guide interested prospects toward an informed purchase decision without undue pressure.
- Prepare approved quotes, confirm selected options, and communicate purchase instructions, seeking guidance from the sales team lead when requests exceed assigned authority.
- Record conversation outcomes, quote details, buying signals, and next actions promptly so colleagues can understand each opportunity without repeating questions unnecessarily.
- Follow up at agreed intervals, update opportunity stages, and coordinate completed sales handoffs with customer support contacts; escalate unresolved pricing or product questions to the sales team lead.
- Maintain quality through accurate information, timely responses, complete notes, consistent follow-up, and clear sales outcomes, reviewing feedback with the sales team lead to improve future conversations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required; related sales, retail customer assistance, or telephone outreach experience preferred, including experience gained through internships or volunteer activities.
- Interest in inside sales, prospect qualification, discovery questions, objection handling, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ability to learn product or service information, explain differences between options, and apply approved pricing guidance accurately.
- Willingness to learn the named CRM and phone systems, maintain clear opportunity notes, and follow established outreach procedures.
- Clear spoken and written communication, with the ability to ask relevant questions, listen carefully, and summarize agreed next steps.
- Ability to organize follow-up tasks, handle rejection professionally, accept coaching, and work toward assigned sales objectives without sacrificing accuracy.
- Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace; availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Perks & Benefits:
- Fully remote work from home in a desk-based sales role, with customer conversations and team coordination handled remotely.
- Structured onboarding and training on the named systems, product or service information, sales conversations, and approved purchasing procedures.
- Regular check-ins with the sales team lead to discuss questions, review conversations, and identify practical improvements.
- Opportunities to build prospect qualification, consultative selling, objection handling, and sales pipeline management skills through daily work.
- Health coverage, paid leave, maternity leave, bonus opportunities, and stipends.
