• Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote / 3 in‑office

Responsibilities

Join our team as an Insurance Consultant and become a trusted guide for small business owners across the country.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients referred to Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies, helping them navigate their commercial insurance needs from the initial conversation through to binding coverage. You’ll work closely with our valued strategic partners and enjoy a dynamic environment where flexibility and responsiveness are key. If you already hold a Property & Casualty (P&C) producer license, that’s a plus—but if not, don’t worry! We’ll support you in obtaining your license within your first 30 days. This is a great opportunity to grow your career in a supportive, team-oriented captive agency setting.

Responsibilities:

• Field inbound sales calls from established strategic partners

• Maintain detailed, accurate records on agency software of all communication

• Provide customer-centric service to all agency clients

• Provide accurate, appropriate answers to client questions regarding coverages, pricing, and insurance options

• Build and maintain excellent relationships with referral partners

• Outbound sales calls to businesses that have been referred to the agency

• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must be willing to obtain P&C license; Licensed candidates preferred

• Proficient use of multiple computer systems and platforms

• Strong work ethic; work well in a team environment

• Very adept and comfortable multi-tasking and able to effectively re-prioritize on the fly

• Outgoing and personable

• Exceptional listening skills

• Willingness and ability to deliver good and bad news to a prospect or client

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this role
