The Assistant Manager for Collections will oversee the operations of the collections department, focusing on optimizing collection processes and maintaining effective communication with clients to enhance recovery rates and minimize outstanding debts. Lead, train, and mentor collections staff to enhance performance and development. Monitor team performance to ensure that collection targets are consistently met. Collaborate with other departments to streamline collection efforts and reduce overall delinquency rates. Prepare and analyze reports on departmental performance and plan adjustments as necessary. Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment arrangements with high-profile clients. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to debt collection. Minimum 8 years of experience in collections or related field with proven managerial skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and collection management software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make decisions quickly. Experience in developing and implementing training programs for collections teams. Familiarity with digital collection technologies. Background in negotiating with clients in financial distress. Knowledge of legal issues and best practices in collections.
