Integration & Middleware Engineer

Your Responsibilities

Develop and enhance integrations using Apache Camel, ActiveMQ Artemis/JMS, and Kafka.

Act as a direct contact person for our customers, both technically and on equal footing, in German and English.

Operate and monitor customer integration platforms and resolve incidents, if necessary down to JVM level (logs, thread dumps, heap dumps).

Implement API management with Gravitee and workflow orchestration with Kestra.

After onboarding, participate in the on-call rotation together with the team.

What You Bring

Several years of practical experience with integration and messaging in production environments, e.g., Apache Camel, Artemis, JMS, Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar.

Solid Java and Linux knowledge, as well as scripting skills (Bash or Python).

Fluent German and English, both written and spoken. Our customers are located in the DACH region, the Netherlands, and North America.

Enjoy working directly with customers and explaining technical topics in an understandable way.

Ability to work remotely in an independent and reliable manner.

Nice to Have

Experience with API management (ideally Gravitee) and workflow orchestration (ideally Kestra).

Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana).

Kubernetes and Ansible are a plus, not mandatory.
