Major, Lindsey & Africa’s client has an immediate need for an Interim Real Estate Attorney Overview: Our client seeks a skilled, Interim Real Estate Attorney Company: Our client is a well-respected wholesale supply chain services company Experience: Successful candidates will have at least 5 years of relevant experience Location: Remote with occasional travel to Temple, TX (Austin TX area) Job Summary Our Client is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to provide practical, business-focused legal support for its distribution centers, warehouses, operational facilities, and third-party logistics arrangements. This attorney will work closely with Engineering, Construction, Development, Facilities, and business teams on leasing, site selection, property rights, and other real estate matters affecting the company’s operations. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and advising businesses with large, operationally complex real estate portfolios. Requirements: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, ground leases, lease amendments, easements, access rights, utility agreements, and related documents. Support leasing and property matters involving distribution centers, warehouses, and other operational facilities. Advise on site selection, property feasibility, local ordinances, construction improvements, and development-related issues. Provide real estate support for third-party logistics arrangements and customer-operated facilities. Identify legal and business risks and develop commercially practical solutions. Coordinate with outside counsel on acquisitions, development projects, and specialized real estate matters. Qualifications: J.D and active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Significant commercial real estate leasing experience. Experience with industrial, warehouse, distribution center, or other operational facilities. Knowledge of easements, access rights, encumbrances, utility agreements, and property-related compliance matters. Ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced business environment. Preferred: In-house experience supporting a logistics, distribution, transportation, retail, manufacturing, or similarly operational business.
