Are you an interior design expert with an eagle eye for detail and a passion for mentoring? JL Closets, a 35-year leader in premium custom storage solutions, is looking for an Interior Design Quality & Training Specialist to join our remote team. In this important role, you’ll help maintain design standards, review projects for technical accuracy, and train and support our design team to consistently deliver high-quality work.

What You’ll Do

• Review Designs for Accuracy: Inspect 3D plans, technical measurements, specifications, and quotes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain Design Standards: Ensure all design submissions comply with JL Closets’ technical requirements and quality expectations.
• Identify & Correct Errors: Detect discrepancies, recommend corrections, and help prevent recurring design issues.
• Train & Support Designers: Provide technical guidance, constructive feedback, and ongoing follow-up to improve design quality.
• Promote Consistency: Help standardize design practices and workflows across the team.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve design accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Background: A degree or professional background in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Design Expertise: Strong knowledge of interior design, space planning, technical drawings, measurements, and custom closet or storage layouts.
• Exceptional Attention to Detail: Ability to identify design errors, inconsistencies, and potential technical issues before they affect production or installation.
• Communication & Training: Strong English communication skills and the ability to explain technical requirements, mentor designers, and provide constructive feedback.
• Technical Skills: Experience with KCD Software or similar design tools is preferred; Zoho CRM experience is a plus.
• Work Style: Highly organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
