Inventory Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and recording general ledger journal entries related to inventory, performing monthly cost audits, and supporting annual standard cost roll. This role requires a strong understanding of standard costing, accounting principles, financial statements, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record general ledger journal entries related to inventory.
• Perform monthly cost audits and provide support for annual standard cost roll.
• Assist with monitoring and working with operations to obtain monthly metrics for inventory cycle counts.
• Support monthly standard cost variance analysis for purchase price variances, freight, and duties.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and levels within the organization.
• Assist the cost accounting team on special projects as assigned.

Work Environment

The role offers a hybrid work environment, with in-office presence required from Tuesday to Thursday. This provides a balance of remote work flexibility and in-office collaboration, fostering an environment conducive to professional growth and development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
