Savant is seeking an Investment Operations Billing Specialist in Rockford, IL.

Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in financial services? As an Investment Operations Billing Specialist, you’ll help ensure client accounts are established and billed accurately while supporting the operational processes behind a growing wealth management firm. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with numbers, investigating discrepancies, and finding practical solutions. You do not need previous wealth management experience to be considered. We’re looking for someone who brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and an eagerness to learn.

In this role, you can expect to focus in the following areas:

• Setting up new client accounts, account groupings, and billing arrangements accurately and on time
• Supporting the collection of client fees from accounts held with our custodians
• Researching and helping resolve billing or fee-collection issues
• Reviewing billing history to identify discrepancies and determine appropriate next steps
• Partnering with advisors and internal teams to understand unique billing situations and client fee agreements
• Assisting with billing corrections, client credits, and refunds when needed
• Helping create customized fee schedules that align with client agreements
• Maintaining accurate information in our portfolio management and billing systems
• Responding to internal and external requests in a timely and professional manner
• Supporting departmental projects, including system migrations and integrations
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and team efficiency
• Collaborating with teammates and providing support during high-volume periods

• Position location: Ideally - Rockford, IL; however, we will also consider candidates in the Madison, WI area
• Work model: Hybrid and remote eligible long-term.
• Typical working hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm CST

Qualifications

The Investment Operations Billing Specialist position typically requires the following qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field preferred, but not required
• Relevant internship, coursework, or professional experience involving numbers, data, financial information, customer service, or administrative processes is helpful
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
• Comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and multiple sources of information
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to investigate an issue, ask thoughtful questions, and follow it through to resolution
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, or the ability to learn these programs quickly
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support teammates
• Client-first mindset and sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information
• Interest in learning financial-services technology, billing systems, and wealth management operations

We take a market-based approach to compensation. The expected base salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000. Actual compensation is determined on an individual basis and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and market conditions. This role may also be eligible for additional incentive compensation based on responsibilities and performance.
