IT Administrator

Everglade Works is looking for a highly skilled Remote IT Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our IT infrastructure. What You'll Do System Administration : Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and cloud-based infrastructure. User Support & Helpdesk Management : Provide technical support to remote employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Security & Compliance : Implement cybersecurity best practices, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Cloud & SaaS Management : Oversee cloud services, including AWS, Azure, and Google Workspace, optimizing performance and security. Backup & Disaster Recovery : Ensure robust data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans are in place. Automation & Scripting : Develop and maintain scripts for IT automation and efficiency. Software & Hardware Management : Deploy, configure, and manage software applications and company devices. IT Policy Development : Establish and enforce IT policies and best practices across the organization. What You Need to Succeed Experience : 5+ years of IT administration experience in a remote or hybrid setting. Technical Expertise : Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Hands-on experience with network administration (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and best practices. Ability to write scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Education & Certifications (Preferred but not Required) : Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
