Role Description The IT Application Operation Specialist (part-time, hybrid) will support and maintain the academy’s IT applications and platforms from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring application performance, resolving incidents, handling user requests, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure reliable operation of learning and information systems. The role involves providing technical support to staff and learners, troubleshooting application and integration issues, documenting procedures, and suggesting improvements to business processes supported by IT. The specialist will collaborate with vendors or external service providers when needed, assist with updates and minor configuration changes, and help maintain data integrity and security across applications.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, interpret data, and propose effective solutions.
- Candidates should possess Application Support experience, including incident handling, configuration assistance, and user guidance for educational or enterprise applications.
- Candidates should possess Information Technology knowledge, covering basic networking, databases, cloud or web-based platforms, and IT best practices.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support capabilities to assist end users, manage tickets, and communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Candidates should possess Business Process understanding to align application operations with training workflows, administrative processes, and learner experiences.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) or training platforms, especially in energy, engineering, or educational contexts, is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English, ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, and a structured approach to documentation and reporting are preferred.
