IT Security Manager

Presidio are seeking an IT Security Manager for a contract opportunity in Dublin. As the internal Cybersecurity SME you will provide hands-on leadership, governance, and operational oversight of cybersecurity across the organisation.

The successful candidate will act as the internal owner of cybersecurity, responsible for managing cyber risk, overseeing third-party security providers and ensuring a proportionate, effective, and auditable security posture.

This is a hybrid role with great day rates and potential to extend long-term. Working with a public-sector client your contributions will be of national relevance.

7 years experience in a similar role plus IT Security qualification (CISM, CISSP etc.) is required.

What will you do?

• Establish and operate a practical security governance framework
• Define and maintain the supplier operating model and responsibilities (RACI)
• Develop and manage a prioritised cybersecurity roadmap
• Provide regular executive-level reporting on risk, incidents, and overall security posture
• Own and maintain the IT and cybersecurity risk register, including risk identification, assessment, and treatment tracking
• Conduct and facilitate risk assessments across systems and services
• Provide support for audit and compliance activities (e.g. GDPR, NIS2 readiness, internal/external audit)
• Establish and operate a structured third-party / vendor security risk management process
• Lead delivery of third-party risk assessments across suppliers and service providers
• Develop, maintain, and own the Incident Response Plan
• Identify and address security gaps not covered by shared services

What do you need?

• 7+ years in IT Security Management role
• Relevant qualification in IT Security such as CISSP, CISM, CISA etc.

• Security Operations Oversight and Incident Management
• Stakeholder Engagement
