IT Service Manager

Ready to lead IT and OT services that support maritime operations and icebreaking? Our client is a Swedish public-sector organisation based in Norrköping, working with technology supporting vessels and shipping operations. As a Senior IT Service Manager, you'll oversee service planning, development and maintenance, lead assignments and coordinate the people responsible for delivery. You'll work closely with business operations, IT specialists and external suppliers across systems ranging from satellite communications to maintenance and safety management. Key responsibilities

• Lead tactical planning and operational management of IT and OT services supporting vessels, maritime operations and icebreaking.
• Manage the full service lifecycle, including procurement, development, maintenance, upgrades and changes.
• Coordinate projects, internal resources and parallel development activities, keeping timelines, costs and deliverables on track.
• Prepare service plans, budget proposals and governance documentation, and report progress to management and steering committees.
• Manage supplier relationships, support requests, escalations and incidents to support reliable service delivery.
• Act as the primary IT contact for business operations, collaborating with specialists in requirements management, testing, architecture and application technology.
• Develop agile ways of working, strengthen structured and quality-assured service management, and share knowledge with fellow service managers and leaders.

Ideal candidate profile

• At least 6 years of experience within the last 10 years in senior IT leadership roles, such as IT Project Manager, Assignment Manager, IT Service Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master or IT Service Delivery Manager.
• Proven experience within those roles monitoring timelines, costs and deliverables, reporting to managers and steering committees, coordinating multiple development activities and leading teams of at least 8 people.
• At least 2 years of experience within the last 10 years in an IT leadership role with responsibility for OT systems and business-critical technical infrastructure.
• Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Nice to have:

• Experience managing public-sector procurement projects.
• Experience managing external suppliers during IT system implementation or lifecycle management.
• Experience in a leadership role involving agile teams and system development, such as Scrum Master, Product Owner or Requirements Analyst.
