IT Specialist (M365, Azure & Meraki)

Composition Brands North America is establishing a unified, independent IT function following its organizational separation from Middleby. This position provides senior technical capability to support and develop core infrastructure, cloud services, networking, Intune, Microsoft 365, Azure, and shared platforms across Europe and North America. The role helps maintain stable, secure, and consistent server, cloud, and network environments while supporting documentation, standardization, and project delivery. By strengthening internal capability and reducing reliance on external suppliers, this position supports effective operations through centralized cloud and infrastructure services.

Location: Remote; East Coast location preferred for alignment with Eastern Time business hours.
Employment Type: Full-time.
Experience Level: Mid-to-senior; 3+ years of relevant experience.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Specialist to own, manage, and optimize our cloud infrastructure and network environments. In this role, you will be the primary steward of our Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Cisco Meraki ecosystems. You will ensure our systems remain secure, reliable, and scalable while providing high-level support and strategic technical guidance to the organization.

What you will do…

Microsoft 365 & Azure Administration

• Identity Management: Administer Entra ID (Azure AD), managing users, groups, licenses, and role-based access control (RBAC).
• M365 Governance: Oversee Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, implementing best practices for compliance and data retention.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Monitor, maintain, and provision Azure resources (Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and virtual networking).
• Security & Compliance: Enforce security policies using Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Network & Infrastructure Management

• Meraki Administration: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, and wireless access points across our network.
• Network Security: Maintain secure VPN connections, VLAN segmentation, and firewall rules to protect company data.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor network traffic and bandwidth to ensure maximum uptime and optimal performance.

Support & Operations

• Tier 2/3 Support: Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues relating to cloud services, networking, and core business hardware.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation for network configurations, IT policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with external ISPs, hardware vendors, and software providers as needed.

• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-level M365 and Azure environments.
• Network Expertise: Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Meraki hardware and software.
• Location: East Coast location preferred to support time-zone alignment with our core operations.
• Core Skills: Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and cloud security frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and clear communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.

Preferred Certifications (Plus but not required)

• Microsoft Certified: Administrator Associate (MS-102) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (CMSS) or CCNA.
