Java Fullstack Developer (German speaker) ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Java Fullstack Developer to join a dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Java and modern web technologies, thrives in agile environments, and is passionate about building robust, scalable enterprise applications. All project communication and documentation are conducted in German — fluency is mandatory. FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS • University or higher education degree in an IT-related field (e.g. Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences) Or Recognized vocational qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology Or Equivalent expertise demonstrated through substantial hands-on professional experience PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE • Minimum 4 years of experience as a software developer on commercial software development projects • Proven track record in Java application development, including Java web development • Experience in .NET environments is also considered PROFESSIONAL SKILLS • Requirements analysis and application system specification • Application design and software architecture • Database design and data modelling • Agile software development methodologies • Source code management with common versioning systems (e.g. Git) • Testing disciplines: unit, integration, and acceptance testing • Application deployment, commissioning, and operations support • Legacy system migration and modernisation • Integration of applications into existing infrastructure • End-user and operations personnel training • Knowledge transfer to client staff and technical documentation • Design and implementation of IT security concepts within application systems SPECIFIC TECHNOLOGIES • Spring • Maven / Gradle • React • TypeScript / JavaScript (Node.js) • JUnit 5 • Mockito • React Testing Library • REST APIs (HTTP + JSON) • Git • CI/CD • Docker • Kubernetes • Microservices / Web Architecture • Apache Kafka • Elasticsearch • Grafana / Prometheus • JWT • Keycloak / Spring Security • Nexus / JFrog METHODOLOGICAL REQUIREMENTS • Experience with Agile methodologies • Proficiency in documenting system specifications, architectural decisions, and design rationale ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS • Support during testing activities (unit, integration, and acceptance testing) • Support during application deployment and commissioning • Support during legacy system migration • Integration of applications into the infrastructure LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS • Fluent German, both spoken and written — mandatory for all personnel involved in contract execution • All designated points of contact must maintain German fluency throughout the engagement If you got this far you are committed!
