I.T. For Less is looking for a Tech Journalist & Content Writer to track and report on the latest developments in IT, managed services (MSPs), AI, and related fields, and to turn that knowledge into clear, engaging content across multiple formats.

Responsibilities

• Monitor news, trends, and product releases across IT, cybersecurity, cloud, MSPs, AI, and the wider tech industry.
• Write timely news articles, analysis pieces, and opinion content for our website and publications.
• Produce blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, newsletters, and thought-leadership content.
• Write persuasive marketing copy for web pages, email campaigns, social media, and ads.
• Research, outline, and write long-form content, including ebooks and books on technology topics.
• Interview industry experts, partners, and clients, and cover events and product launches.
• Fact-check all content and cite sources accurately.
• Edit and proofread your own and others’ work for accuracy, tone, and style.
• Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement.
• Work with the training, marketing, and technical teams to turn complex topics into accessible content.
• Ghostwrite Non-Fiction Book Content.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in journalism, content writing, or copywriting, preferably covering technology.
• Strong understanding of IT, MSP, cloud, cybersecurity, and AI topics, with a genuine interest in following them.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, in both short-form copy and long-form content.
• Experience writing or contributing to books, ebooks, or other long-form publications is strongly preferred.
• Strong research and fact-checking skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical readers.
• Familiarity with SEO, content management systems, and social media.
• A portfolio of published work is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
• Experience using AI tools responsibly in research and content workflows.
• Basic knowledge of design or publishing tools.
