About Fiscal 12
Fiscal 12 is a strategic accounting and finance partner to growing manufacturing businesses in the United States. We help our clients strengthen financial operations, improve visibility into profitability and cash flow, and make better business decisions.
Our team supports multiple client engagements across accounting, financial reporting, inventory and cost accounting, financial planning, and advisory services. We are passionate about developing finance professionals who combine strong technical skills with curiosity, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Analyst to join our Manufacturing Accounting & Financial Operations team.
This is an entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in accounting while gaining practical exposure to U.S. manufacturing businesses. You will work alongside experienced accounting and finance professionals, supporting daily accounting operations, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting.
You do not need to know everything when you join us. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, asks thoughtful questions, pays attention to detail, and takes responsibility for delivering quality work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting Operations & Reconciliations
- Assist with bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of journal entries and accounting schedules.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end close activities and assigned accounting tasks.
- Investigate basic discrepancies and seek guidance when additional review is required.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Support vendor invoice processing, payment documentation, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with customer invoicing, payment applications, and accounts receivable tracking.
- Maintain organized records of outstanding invoices, payments, and related correspondence.
- Follow established accounting procedures and approval workflows.
3. Manufacturing Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and the preparation of supporting schedules.
- Support basic inventory, cost of goods sold, and work-in-progress accounting activities.
- Help compile financial information for monthly reporting.
- Assist with financial data analysis and variance investigations.
- Gain exposure to manufacturing accounting systems, processes, and operational reporting.
4. Workflow Management & Team Collaboration
- Maintain accurate updates on assigned tasks and deadlines.
- Prepare clear, organized workpapers for review.
- Incorporate feedback from senior team members and Client Leads.
- Communicate questions, challenges, and potential delays promptly.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Recent graduate or up to one year of relevant work experience.
- Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Progress toward ICAN, ACCA, or another recognized accounting qualification.
- Internship or practical experience in accounting, audit, or finance.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Odoo, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Interest in manufacturing accounting, inventory, costing, and financial reporting.
What Success Looks Like
During your first few months, we want to see that you:
- Understand and follow established accounting procedures.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Maintain organized documentation and review-ready workpapers.
- Ask questions early when you need clarification.
- Apply feedback and demonstrate measurable improvement.
- Take increasing ownership of your responsibilities as your skills develop.
- Contribute positively to the team's ability to deliver reliable financial information.
What We Offer
- Structured onboarding, training, and mentorship.
- Hands-on experience supporting U.S. manufacturing businesses.
- Exposure to accounting operations, financial reporting, inventory, and costing.
- Opportunities to learn from experienced accounting and finance professionals.
- A collaborative, remote-first work environment.
- A clear pathway for career development into Accounting Analyst and senior accounting roles.

- Are curious and enjoy understanding how businesses work.
- Have a strong foundation in accounting and want to develop practical skills.
- Take pride in getting the details right.
- Are comfortable asking questions and receiving constructive feedback.
- Take initiative and follow through on commitments.
