Junior Artist - Architectural Visualisation About Us For over two decades, The Boundary has been at the forefront of digital excellence. With a global team of 150+ experts across London, New York, Dubai, and Auckland, we partner with the world's leading developers to deliver unparalleled architectural storytelling. Founded by award-winning architects, our work sits at the intersection of design intuition and technical mastery. From pioneering digital twin infrastructure to the seamless integration of AI and real-time technology, we don’t just anticipate the future of the industry; we are already building it. The Opportunity We need someone with a strong eye, a curious mind and the determination to keep getting better. You might be at the beginning of your career, but you already notice the details other people miss. You care about composition, light and atmosphere. You want to understand not only which button to press, but why an image works. You don't need to know everything. No one expects you to. What matters is that you listen, ask good questions and put feedback into practice. You can take direction without losing your initiative, and when you're stuck, you speak up before a small problem becomes a big one. You're organised. You name files properly. You respect deadlines. You understand that brilliant creative work also depends on reliable habits and people being able to trust each other. Most of all, you care. About the work, about learning the craft and about being part of a team that wants you to succeed. What You'll Do Make images that matter. You'll help create photorealistic architectural imagery across stills, animation and VR - building models from drawings and references, setting up scenes, applying materials and lighting, and supporting final renders. Learn by doing. You'll work alongside mid, senior and lead artists who will give you clear direction and specific feedback. You'll test ideas, make revisions and build confidence with every project. Build strong foundations. You'll develop your skills in modelling, texturing, lighting, composition and rendering while becoming fluent in our tools, workflows and quality standards. Keep the work moving. You'll manage your assigned tasks, work to project milestones and let your lead know how things are progressing. If something is unclear or blocked, you'll raise it early. Look after the details. You'll keep scenes, folders and assets organised, follow naming conventions and document your work so the next person can pick it up without having to untangle it. Be part of the studio. You'll join reviews, share useful discoveries, support your teammates and bring professionalism, generosity and curiosity to the work. What You'll Bring A portfolio with promise. We want to see your eye for composition, lighting, materials and atmosphere. Professional experience isn't essential; thoughtful personal, academic or freelance work counts. A grounding in the craft. You may have studied architectural visualisation, architecture, interior design, VFX or a related subject - or built equivalent skills through another route. Some technical fluency. You'll have experience with Autodesk 3ds Max or similar 3D software, plus a basic understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud. Any exposure to rendering tools and production pipelines is useful. A learning mindset. You take feedback well, practise deliberately and are comfortable learning new tools when the work calls for them. Good team habits. You communicate clearly, treat people with respect, stay organised and take responsibility for the quality and timing of your work. That thing you can't teach. You care about getting it right - and you're excited by how much there is still to learn. What we'll give you The setup to grow. You'll work with experienced artists and leads who will give you direction, context and honest feedback - with real project work that helps you develop quickly. Space to build your craft. You'll learn the full CGI workflow, strengthen your technical foundations and develop the creative judgement that turns accurate work into convincing work. Open conversations. Kind, specific feedback and regular check-ins so you know what's working, what to focus on and where you're making progress. A global creative community. Access to brilliant people across our studios, bringing different perspectives, specialisms and ways of seeing. Work you'll be proud of. The chance to contribute to ambitious projects for leading architects, developers and brands - and see your skills reflected in the final result. A path forward. Clear expectations, meaningful development and increasing responsibility as your confidence and capability grow.
