Junior Cloud Architect (Java & AI)

Key Responsibilities : Architectural Assistance: Work alongside senior architects to design scalable, secure, and resilient microservices. Java Development: Develop clean, maintainable backend code and RESTful APIs using Core Java and Spring Boot frameworks. Azure Cloud Deployment: Deploy, monitor, and scale Java-based applications using Azure PaaS services such as Azure App Services , Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Functions . AI & OpenAI Integration: Collaborate with the R&D team to prototype and integrate Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Search. Documentation: Assist in creating logical architecture diagrams, technical design documents, and cloud migration roadmaps. Skills & Experience : Programming Languages: Core Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot. Cloud Platforms: Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure SQL, and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps). AI/ML Concepts (Good to Have): Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and basic concepts of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Tools: Git, Docker, and basic database management (SQL/NoSQL). Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, eagerness to learn new technologies, and excellent technical communication. Internal Guidelines about Work from Home: Hybrid Model, following Manulife’s Working Better guidelines. Over time: 0-40 hours/month. Salary: Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary. Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules. Working Hours: Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Include 1 hour break.
