Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Payments Analyst who will help monitor payment activity, reconcile transactions, handle payment-related queries, and coordinate with payment service providers (PSPs). Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will develop practical knowledge of online payments and take ownership of clearly defined operational tasks.
This role is suited to someone early in their career who enjoys working with numbers, pays attention to detail, and follows tasks through to completion. You will receive guidance on our systems and procedures, with support available for complex or unfamiliar situations.
Responsibilities
- Check PSP balances daily and flag funding needs to the team.
- Monitor payment performance, help investigate transaction issues, and perform daily reconciliations.
- Process routine manual settlements, refunds, and financial adjustments in line with internal procedures and approval requirements.
- Handle payment-related requests from internal teams, including transaction tracing, refund enquiries, and requests for Acquirer Reference Numbers (ARNs).
- Monitor shared payment inboxes, respond to routine queries, and route requests to the appropriate teams, following up where required.
- Coordinate with payment providers on operational issues, account documentation, and routine updates.
- Track PSP notifications, including technical changes, payment limits, country availability, and contractual notices, and share relevant information with the appropriate colleagues.
- Collect monthly fee information, reconcile invoices, and prepare regular reports.
- Manage assigned tasks and recurring responsibilities through to completion, keeping task records up to date and meeting agreed deadlines.
- Communicate promptly about blockers, potential delays, and changes in workload, and ask for guidance or additional tasks when needed.
- Experience in payments, finance operations, reconciliation, or a related support role is an advantage, but is not essential.
- Comfortable working with numbers and checking data accurately.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters, and basic data analysis.
- Good written and spoken English for day-to-day communication with colleagues and external providers.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage routine tasks, follow up consistently, and meet agreed deadlines.
- A responsible and proactive approach: you keep track of your assigned areas, ask questions when something is unclear, and raise issues early.
- Clear and responsive communication, including keeping colleagues informed of progress and expected follow-up times.
- Willingness to learn, follow established procedures, and seek support for unfamiliar or complex cases.
- A degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field is a plus.
- Quarterly bonuses based on Company performance
- Medical Insurance Plan with coverage for the employee and their immediate family from day one (Montenegro based)
- 24 working days of annual leave
- Corporate events and team building activities
- Udemy Business unlimited membership & language training courses
- Professional and personal development opportunities in a fast-growing environment
