- Manage storage and Persistent Volumes.
- Improve automation across the application lifecycle, including the management of platform components and less common use cases.
- Monitor platform health, investigate incidents and contribute to root-cause analysis and service improvement.
- Support the adoption of event-driven architectures and the integration of legacy systems through connectors.
- Participate in the platform’s 24x7 support model.
Platform evolution
Key challenges planned for 2027 include:
- Strengthening the resilience and stability of the on-premises platform, including adding a third cluster node and migrating legacy components.
- Moving towards a fully automated application lifecycle, including edge cases.
- Implementing an event catalogue and end-to-end event observability.
- Evolving the platform towards Kubernetes.
- Supporting wider adoption of event-driven architectures, including using events to move queries currently directed at the mainframe to distributed or cloud-based systems.
You must have:
- Hands-on experience administering Apache Kafka in business-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of Kafka platform architecture, including Brokers, KRaft, replication and availability settings.
- Experience with Kafka Connect and Schema Registry, including Avro and JSON.
- Knowledge of Kafka security controls, such as mTLS and ACLs.
- Experience with Cloud Plaftorms and hybrid environments.
- Practical knowledge of performance tuning, retention, cleanup policies and storage management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting production platforms.
- Ability to work with application and operations teams on automation and event-driven integration.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.
We value:
